As Product Marketing Manager for Startups & Digital Natives, you will bring to life why Microsoft’s cloud is the best choice for innovative software companies to build, scale, and differentiate. You’ll shape and tell the “Why Microsoft for Software Companies” story—through our voice and the voice of our partners—across inbound and outbound channels, events, and digital experiences.

This highly dynamic, cross‑company role partners closely with Cloud Marketing, Engineering, Partner, and Field teams to drive Azure adoption, accelerate marketplace growth, and deliver measurable impact for our ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Craft compelling value propositions, competitive positioning, and messaging inspiring founders, technical leaders, and the broader partner ecosystem

Lead and execute integrated marketing strategies to recruit, onboard, and accelerate high‑potential startups and digital natives

Land the Microsoft platform opportunity through digital channels, third‑party events, and flagship moments

Create compelling success stories showcasing how startups and digital natives innovate, scale, and win with Microsoft

Collaborate across teams including Cloud Marketing, Engineering, Partner, and Field teams to drive unified execution across the Build–Publish–Grow journey

Communicate plans and results to senior management, global field leads, and stakeholders with confidence and clarity

Build and continuously improve core marketing content reflecting the latest product capabilities, incentives, and go‑to‑market opportunities

Drive event strategy, planning, and execution at Tier 1 events ensuring the software company narrative is integrated throughout tracks and keynotes

Deliver market & audience insights providing feedback to inform product development, marketing messaging, and investment priorities. Use data and customer feedback to refine targeting and engagement strategies.

Set clear success criteria, measure impact, and evolve strategies to drive Azure Consumed Revenue (ACR) growth

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in business OR Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 2+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.

Product marketing or partner marketing experience in the software industry.

Knowledge in cloud computing, specifically building and delivering cloud applications to customers.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business OR Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.

Experience with startups or digital‑native companies.

Compensation Product Marketing IC3 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD 85,100 – 169,800 per year. Base pay for San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area: USD 112,000 – 185,300 per year.
