Designer / Art Director, Device Brand Studio Pay: $108,400.00/yr - $185,000.00/yr

As an Designer / Art Director at Device Brand Studio, you'll lead the creative vision for campaign events across our device portfolio. You'll drive concept development and oversee creative execution for high-impact seasonal campaigns, major product launches, and brand initiatives. You'll collaborate with creative teams, product marketing managers, and senior leaders to deliver compelling digital campaigns that span Amazon.com. This role blends strategic thinking with hands‑on design. You'll guide creative teams in developing visually impactful work across owned and operated channels, adapt style guides for each device brand, and ensure visual consistency while meeting key deadlines. You'll mentor our Costa Rica‑based design production team, ensuring their output meets the quality bar you set. You'll work closely with project managers and creative directors to define timelines and lead the development of breakthrough creative concepts – translating complex, technical ideas into memorable customer experiences. In addition, this role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with engineers and creatives to explore how AI can streamline asset production. You'll help shape the future of how AI supports scalable, high‑volume creative work.

Key Job Responsibilities

You have at least 5+ years of design and art direction experience with expert ability to develop innovative creative work across high volume digital campaign events.

You understand how best to translate corporate style guides and customize them for the campaign at hand.

You are well‑versed in graphic design, branding, photography, and art direction as it pertains to print, digital, and motion.

You possess excellent design and conceptual skills accompanied by the ability to guide and evaluate creative development.

You are naturally curious and passionate about design, with deep awareness of the evolving landscape of available tools, technologies, resources, and trends.

You are a motivated and driven art director who collaborates well with a team to find simple solutions to complex problems.

You are a strong communicator with great presentation skills and can articulate ideas clearly, engage in healthy debate, and accept directional feedback. You must be able to communicate effectively both up and down a creative organization.

You have in depth knowledge of the end-to-end process of campaign development, including effectively staffing projects and providing timely and helpful feedback to improve the work.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of design experience.

Available online portfolio.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, using macOS.

Experience designing for both mobile and desktop applications.

Experience with Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with e‑commerce, search, social, and other major application types and their UX patterns.

Experience creating services and applications with multiple user touch points on different platforms and devices.

Experience with art directing and/or creating CGI environments.
