You’ll be working with a talented team to reimagine our Payroll product, which is the engine that propels the QuickBooks ecosystem. You’ll have the opportunity to own new features from concept to code, reimagine existing experiences, restructure business processes, all while brainstorming, sharing ideas, and collaborating with cross‑functional teammates.

Responsibilities

Conceptualize and own features within the QuickBooks Payroll product, and account for up and downstream dependencies

Collaborate with product managers, analysts, researchers, writers, and engineering partners to create outstanding customer experiences

Deliver multiple projects simultaneously through robust communication and time management skills

Participate in and analyze extensive customer research to identify insights that will ultimately provide customer value and delight

Leverage iterative prototyping to quickly test concepts and learn from customers

Drive design decisions through data by partnering with our analytics team, and self‑serve on our analytics platforms

Participate in and promote a culture of detailed feedback rooted in first principles, design rationale, customer data, and industry best practices

Provide mentorship to co‑ops and less experienced designers from a craft, and cross‑discipline partnership perspective

Qualifications

Substantial experience designing products with high degrees of complexity and cross‑product interdependencies

Navigating spaces, and reimagining products that are ambiguous and require a high degree of cross‑team coordination

Working with counterparts in PM, Engineering, Data, Marketing, and Research to inform, narrow in, and iterate on a product

Portfolio that demonstrates products with complex end‑to‑end thinking and dependencies

Has experience working in an environment of lightweight and rapid experiments and iterations

Worked (even briefly) with or in large enterprises so the pace of working with these companies is not foreign

Experience working in organizations with robust design systems

Experience creating and designing for mobile, web, and tablet formats

Comfortable with user research (running user tests & analyzing data, experience with evaluative and generative research); prototyping; working on finance and data related projects/products

Nice to have:

Examples of user flow and information architecture diagrams

Customer‑oriented and enthusiastically embraces research

Has experience building AI products

Compensation and Benefits Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs. Pay offered is based on factors such as job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this position is:

Bay Area: $149,000- $201,500
