Job Description: The Corporate Communications Specialist plays a key role in shaping how employees connect with the company's strategy, values, and culture. This position focuses on internal communications that inform, engage, and inspire employees - ensuring alignment during times of growth, change, and organizational transformation.

Working closely with leadership, HR and functional teams, this role helps drive consistent messaging, supports change management initiatives, and enhances the overall employee experience through clear, creative, and authentic communication.

Key Responsibilities Internal Communications & Engagement

Develop and deliver internal communication strategies, campaigns, and messaging that build awareness, engagement, and alignment across the organization.

Create and manage content for internal channels (email newsletters, intranet, Teams, town halls, video scripts, and presentations).

Partner with HR to promote company culture, values, and recognition programs.

Support company-wide initiatives, such as performance review cycles, benefits enrollment, onboarding, and compliance training.

Collaborate with leadership to prepare communications for key business updates, organizational changes, and employee announcements.

Change Management Support

Partner with project teams and HR leaders to create communication plans that guide employees through organizational or system changes (e.g., new processes, technology, or structure).

Develop key messages, FAQs, toolkits, and leader talking points to ensure consistent messaging and smooth adoption.

Measure communication effectiveness and adjust strategies based on feedback and engagement metrics.

Culture & Employer Brand

Contribute to storytelling that highlights employee experiences, community impact, and company milestones.

Support employee engagement events, culture campaigns, and internal brand initiatives.

Partner with HR and marketing to ensure consistent brand voice internally and externally.

Collaboration & Governance

Act as a trusted advisor to leadership teams and HR on effective internal messaging and communication tone.

Help establish communication standards, templates, and best practices for consistent company-wide messaging.

Support executive communications and leadership visibility initiatives.

Working Conditions

This position is based in our Charlotte NC corporate office. Relocation assistance may be available for well-qualified candidates to support a smooth transition to the area.

Required/Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree AND one (1) year or more of related work experience

In lieu of bachelor's degree, high school diploma/GED AND five (5) years or more of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Human Resources, or related field.

Three (3) or more years of experience in corporate or internal communications, employee engagement, or HR communications.

Proven ability to write and edit clear, compelling content across various formats and audiences.

Experience supporting change management or transformation initiatives.

Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional partners (HR, Operations, IT, Marketing).

Comfort working in a fast‑paced, growing organization where processes are evolving.

Proficiency with internal comms platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Workday, Constant Contact, or similar).
