Adjunct Faculty – Greek Mythology (Literature)
Bard Early College (BECNO), a partnership between Bard College and the Louisiana Department of Education, invites applications for an adjunct faculty position in Humanities teaching Greek Mythology for the Spring semester 2026. This in‑person, 3‑credit course will be taught only for one semester, meeting three times a week. The semester runs from January 2, 2026 through May 10, 2026.
Location: Bard Early College, 3820 St. Claude Ave, 3rd Floor, New Orleans, LA 70117.
Start Date: Faculty and Staff Orientation on January 2, 2026.
Compensation: $4,500 for the Humanities course.
Qualified candidates will have a Master’s or Ph.D. (or be ABD), and will possess expertise in Greek, Roman, Nordic, or Egyptian Mythology. Prior experience teaching high‑school‑age college students, proficiency with Google Suite and Canvas, and a demonstrated commitment to participatory pedagogy and social justice are highly encouraged.

Proficiency in teaching high‑school‑aged college students.
Proficiency with Google Suite and Canvas.
Master’s or Ph.D. at time of employment, or ABD.
