Position Summary
The Marketing Manager leads the strategic planning and execution of NCT’s marketing and communications initiatives. This role is responsible for shaping and sharing NCT’s story with the public, strengthening our brand identity and driving attendance and revenue for productions, classes, and special events. This role will collaborate with multiple departments and work closely with the Artistic Director to ensure the marketing strategy and assets are aligned with the organization's creative vision. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller and strategic thinker who thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. They will bring an innovative approach to connecting families, educators, and the Nashville community with NCT’s work both on and off the stage.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Communications
Develop and implement annual marketing and communications strategies to meet attendance and revenue goals for productions, education programs, and fundraising events.
Manage NCT’s brand identity across all platforms, ensuring consistency, creativity, and accessibility.
Create compelling copy and visuals for advertising, email campaigns, social media, website, playbills and print collateral.
Oversee content creation and scheduling for social media platforms, growing engagement and community reach.
Act as internal liaison and support for our PR partners, including providing materials for press releases, media coverage, etc.
Lead the design and production of marketing materials, coordinating with graphic designers, photographers, and videographers as needed.
Design, create and facilitate all print materials including production posters, programs, and any other additional pieces.
Analyze audience data and trends to inform marketing strategies and identify opportunities for growth and inclusion.
Support audience experience initiatives to ensure welcoming, accessible, and engaging encounters with NCT.
Maintain and update website content, ensuring clarity, visual appeal, and ease of navigation.
Manage digital advertising campaigns, including Google Ads, social media promotions, and retargeting efforts.
Track analytics and develop reports to assess the effectiveness of marketing strategies.
Work closely with all department directors in order to align messaging across all organizational initiatives.
Support special projects such as gala events, community programs, and institutional campaigns.
Supervise marketing staff, interns or contractors as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
3–5 years of experience in marketing, preferably within the performing arts, nonprofit, or youth education sectors.
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
Proficiency in digital marketing tools, including social media management platforms, Google Analytics, and email marketing software.
Experience with design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Passion for theatre, arts education, and community engagement.

Compensation based on experience
20 hours a week
