Signage & Experiential Technical Designer

Kansas City, Missouri Role:
Signage & Experiential Technical Designer – Activate team, Full‑time.

Responsibilities
Draft construction document details – dimensionality, materiality, orthographic views, elevations, sections, and 3D views to communicate design features.
Assist in the construction management process and manage construction submittals.
Collaborate with the design team to create comprehensive, compelling signage systems.
Track subcontractor progress throughout the constructability review phase and evaluate sample materials and prototypes.
Complete projects with quality, detail, and efficiency, working with internal architects, external consultants, contractors, and signage manufacturers.
Qualifications
Familiarity with construction methods, millwork, signage construction standards, and architectural drawing interpretation.
Experience with signage location plans and message schedules (preferred).
Knowledge of permitting, construction, and ADA code requirements (preferred).
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign), CAD tools, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
Strong knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other 3D modeling software (strongly preferred).
Experience creating architectural specifications (preferred).
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities in a multi‑project workload.
Detail‑oriented, multi‑tasking, and capable of working both independently and in a team environment.
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Architecture, or Interior Design.
2–5 years of detailed design experience, with prior signage and wayfinding design in the construction world highly desired.
