The Production Designer transforms design intent into precise technical drawings that drive production in our shop. This role bridges design and fabrication — ensuring every elevation, cut list, and specification aligns with client vision, production standards, and build efficiency. The Production Designer supports shop operations by supervising workflow, troubleshooting design and material issues, and ensuring cabinet packages are ready for seamless production and installation. Responsibilities: • Prepare and execute detailed elevation and production drawings per established checklists and standards with minimal errors. • Review designer drawings, client selections, and specifications for accuracy and completeness prior to production. • Communicate proactively with designers, project managers, and shop team members to clarify design intent and resolve discrepancies. • Supervise and support shop workflow to ensure cabinets are built, assembled, and finished according to design and production standards. • Maintain drawing files and documentation, ensuring updates are properly tracked and accessible. • Confirm correct materials, hardware, and supplies are ordered and available in time for each project’s production schedule. • Fill in on CNC router or other production support tasks as needed. • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives within the production process. • Participate in project reviews and post-install debriefs to identify lessons learned and improvement opportunities. • Model and reinforce the company's core values — Relentless WOW. Definition of Success • All shop drawings are accurate, complete, and delivered on time. • Shop workflow runs smoothly, with proactive communication and minimal rework. • Correct materials and supplies are on hand ahead of scheduled production. • Team members feel supported and informed throughout each project’s production phase Qualifications: Skills Qualifications • 2+ years of experience in cabinetry design, millwork drafting, or a related production/design role preferred. • Proficiency in Cabinet Vision, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software required. • Strong understanding of cabinet construction, materials, and hardware systems. • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset. • High attention to detail and commitment to producing error-free work. • Effective communicator with both design and shop teams. • Self-motivated, flexible, and comfortable with frequent change and deadlines. • Punctual, dependable, and committed to contributing to a positive, collaborative work environment. Ideal Enneagram Type Type 1 (The Reformer) or Type 6 (The Loyalist) — detail-oriented, dependable, and motivated by doing things right the first time while maintaining consistency and quality. Compensation: $25 - $30 hourly
