General Description:

We are seeking a seasoned commercial leader for our Hematology and Solid Tumor portfolio in the US. This Vice President will be instrumental in crafting both the US disease strategies and brand strategies for our priority hematology and solid tumor assets and will lead the development of comprehensive commercial and portfolio strategies in collaboration with global teams and cross-functional leaders. This role demands a dynamic leader who can drive innovation in the US and adapt strategies to meet local market needs while maintaining global coherence.

Essential Functions of the job:

Develop and implement the end-to-end marketing strategy for the Hematology and Solid Tumor portfolios, ensuring alignment with the company’s broader objectives.

Provide leadership, coaching and development to the VP Hematology Marketing, VP Solid Tumor Marketing, and Brand Leads for BRUKINSA, TEVIMBRA, Sonrotoclax, and the CDAC Degrader.

Ensure there is a forward-looking Strategic Plan for each brand that encompasses commercial messaging, promotional mix, market access drivers such as pricing, payer contracting, provider contracting and programs, and patient services, and that integrates with Medical and Clinical Development Strategic Plans.

Oversee launch plans, brand strategy, positioning, and messaging to ensure successful commercialization and maximization of brand value.

Build organizational capabilities to grow brand equity, develop portfolio marketing initiatives, further advance DTC, digital, and AI strategies, and evidence generation strategies.

Coach the Brand Leads as they lead cross-functional brand teams in partnership with US Market Access, Medical Affairs and R&D teams to co-create long-term visions and integrate commercial insights into product development and evidence generation

Partner with Global Commercial Strategy Organization (GCSO), R&D and core members of Global Product Teams (GPT) to ensure commercial and access considerations are integrated timely into global development plans & evidence generation, supporting both the Development Review (DRC) and Business Portfolio Review (BPRC) Committees

Lead the further development of the operating model and ways of working across GCSO, R&D, Medical Affairs, and US Commercial. Further advances the operating model and ways of working in the US cross-functional matrix.

Partner with the Insights team to generate a deep understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decisions for each brand.

Establish scenario plans for different outcomes and changes in the competitive landscape, unmet need, access scenarios, strategic implications and action plans

Ensure Brand Teams deliver launch readiness, marketing shaping and training to support product launches in the US.

Engage with global KOLs and other external stakeholders to refine and enhance brand strategies. Partner with Medical Affairs to drive Global KOL engagement plans, engage relevant Hematology and Solid Tumor experts, and KOLs in establishing plans.

Oversee the management of agencies, vendors and consultants across the brands to achieve great impact and financial efficiencies.

Lead annual strategic planning and operating planning processes (LRP, AOP) in coordination with finance. Responsible for establishing US brand ambition, business cases and key assumptions for strategic & financial planning processes.

Collaborate closely with key stakeholders across multiple functions (GPT, business development, corporate affairs, investor relations, supply chain, legal and regulatory) and coach VPs and Brand Leads to translate and execute brand strategy and business objectives.

Provide input to shape company policy and act as a role model to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of 15 years of commercialization experience within the pharmaceutical or biopharma industry, with a focus on Hematology

Experience developing and executing successful launch commercial strategies at Global level or across multiple markets

Proven cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills

Strong understanding of the hematology market landscape, including key competitors, customer segments, and market dynamics

Fluency in English, both written and verbal.

Demonstrated success working in new product launches, campaign development and insight generation

Strong skills communicating and influencing with a compelling data-driven narrative

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Lead team that supports all Hematology and Solid Tumor assets from early pipeline/new products through lifecycle support on inline assets - two Vice President direct reports.

Education Required:

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, life sciences or a related field.

MBA or advanced degree preferred
