Clover Sonoma
We are seeking a dynamic Senior Director to lead brand strategy, communications, consumer engagement, consumer insights and innovation pipeline for our fast-growing CPG dairy business. This role will have a high level of responsibility in continuing to build the equity of a 110+ year old brand, bringing it to new markets and consumers. The role will shape the product portfolio to reach more consumers and build even greater emotional connections, all while being grounded in Clover Sonoma’s mission: To be the most trusted, loved and impactful dairy brand in the west.

Salary Range: $190,000 – $220,000 annually, DOE

Develop and execute the overall
marketing strategy and annual plans

brand positioning and portfolio strategy
, ensuring the brand connects emotionally with consumers while standing out in a competitive marketplace. Create plans backed by strong consumer insights for
long-term brand building, innovation, and market expansion
. Brand & Product Marketing
Lead
brand management, product lifecycle strategy, and innovation pipeline
. Drive the development of
new products
with R&D, Sales, and Operations. Ensure consistent
brand identity, packaging, and messaging
that balances authenticity, depth, and approachability. Consumer Insights & Analytics
Champion
consumer, shopper, and category insights
to guide strategy and decision-making. Track
market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior
. Translate data into
campaign, innovation, and retail activation strategies
that resonate with both heart and mind. Public Relations & Communications
Lead
corporate communications, brand PR, product PR, and sustainability/impact storytelling
. Manage
media relations, crisis communications, and executive visibility
. Partner with external PR agencies to elevate the brand story across earned channels. Design and lead
experiential marketing programs
that bring the brand to life in memorable, shareable ways. Create experiences that highlight the
emotive depth
of the brand’s mission and values while also celebrating its
playful, fun spirit
. Integrate
events, partnerships, and community activations
that deepen consumer loyalty and advocacy. Go-to-Market & Activation
Oversee
integrated campaigns
across digital, social, influencer, experiential, and traditional media. Direct
shopper and customer marketing programs
in collaboration with Sales, ensuring alignment with retailer strategies. Build
launch playbooks
that connect brand, consumer, and customer activation seamlessly. Cross-Functional Leadership
Collaborate with Sales, Finance, R&D, and Supply Chain to deliver
aligned execution
. Influence
pricing, distribution, and packaging
strategies for maximum impact. Represent Marketing in
retailer/customer meetings and presentations
. Team & Budget Management
Build and lead a
high-performing marketing team
across brand, PR, insights, and shopper marketing. Manage and allocate
marketing budgets
across brand campaigns, PR, experiential, and customer marketing. Drive accountability, ROI, and continuous improvement in marketing investments. External Partnerships
Lead relationships with
creative agencies, PR partners, event producers, and research firms
. Oversee development of creative campaigns, media strategies, and experiential activations. Role Requirements
12+ years in marketing, with significant leadership experience in
CPG food or beverage
. Proven success in
brand building, consumer engagement, innovation and communications
. Strong background in
PR, media relations, and corporate/sustainability storytelling
