Overview
This role leads the finance support for the MS NOW & CNBC Direct to Consumer businesses. The Finance Director will partner with senior leaders to execute day-to-day priorities, lead various special projects, and serve as a thought partner to these high-profile businesses. The position reports to the SVP, News Finance and includes the following responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the leaders and operational teams of the MS NOW and CNBC Direct to Consumer businesses, provide analytical support to evaluate business decisions, and be an engaged thought partner to help drive growth.
- Contribute to operational forecasting & analysis, monthly & quarterly close process, and day-to-day financials.
- Lead monthly reporting & detailed cost trackers; own relationship with budget owners as their main point of contact.
- Collaborate with internal finance teams and cross-functional teams like Ad Sales and digital research teams to understand traffic/revenue trending and impact on financials; collaborate with operations and strategy teams on investment modeling and execution.
- Develop a strong relationship with HR to partner on team structure.
- Prepare MS Now Events P&L for month/quarter/year ends as well as estimate/budget process, and perform financial variance analysis.
- Manage one analyst to support the business as needed.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in finance, accounting or related field with a focus on digital or streaming media finance.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant experience.

- Able to build strong working partnerships and influence across various levels within the organization.
- Possesses the confidence and presence to interact and present at senior management and executive levels.
- Analytical mindset, curiosity and initiative; expertise in leveraging and analyzing financial data to drive strategic decision making.
Hybrid
This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
