On-Call IT Field Technician & TV Configuration
Location: Multiple U.S. Cities (Local, Onsite Support)
Job Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
Pay: $40‑45/hour (on-site)
Schedule: Flexible – accept jobs based on availability

We are expanding our network of skilled on‑call technicians to meet growing demand for in‑person support, including computers, networks, printers, and more.
About The Role – We’re hiring field IT technicians to confidently support residential and small‑business customers. This includes troubleshooting PCs and Macs, resolving network issues, and repairing or configuring printers/scanners (e.g., Canon MF, G‑series error codes such as 1700). You’ll be dispatched to customer sites, work independently, and complete service calls efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair hardware/software issues on Windows and macOS systems
- Resolve boot errors, OS issues, and login problems
- Set up or troubleshoot Wi‑Fi and wired internet connections
- Replace or upgrade hardware (HDD, RAM, cooling fans, etc.)
- Configure or connect printers and scanners (Canon, HP, Brother, etc.)
- Address common printer error codes (e.g., ink absorber, paper feed, connectivity)
- Perform general maintenance on multifunction printers (MFPs)
- Reinstall operating systems using bootable USBs or recovery media
- Install remote tools or shortcuts as requested
- Communicate clearly with customers and provide basic post‑service support
- Document service visits and escalate complex issues as needed
Requirements
- 2+ years of field IT support experience, including computers and printers
- Familiarity with Canon, HP, and other common printer brands
- Knowledge of error‑code troubleshooting (e.g., Canon 1700, boot issues, driver conflicts)
- Experience with both Windows (10/11) and macOS troubleshooting
- Must have personal tools (bootable USB, screwdriver set, etc.)
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Smartphone with camera and data for documentation and communication
- Ability to work independently and maintain a professional demeanor
