WKEF has an immediate opening for an Executive Producer. In this role, you’ll be overseeing our evening newscasts, helping write and edit scripts, editing video, and working with reporters on their daily assignments. You'll also be a driver for all of our digital platforms including website and social media.

Responsibilities

• Supervise producers and reporters as well as reviewing scripts and providing feedback to encourage growth
• Help manage content center during breaking news and weather events
• Collaborate with other managers to help assign reporters stories and showcase content in newscasts
• Update website and send timely news alerts on all social media platforms
• Plan and oversee continuity into upcoming newscasts

Qualifications

• Ability to perform well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Be a compelling and accurate writer
• Extraordinary people skills with the ability to coach and motivate
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Flexibility and fast problem-solving skills are vital
• Proficiency with iNews is a plus
• Knowledge of Adobe Premiere/Express and AVID
• Journalism or related degree preferred
• 2-3 years of producing experience
