HumCap's Client is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Marketing to establish and lead a standalone marketing department, reporting directly to the CEO. This high-impact role is responsible for driving revenue pipeline growth through targeted demand generation, MQL creation, lead nurturing, and sales enablement. The Director will oversee a lean, agile team focused on delivering measurable ROI across both transactional/ecommerce and consultative sales motions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy tailored to both ecommerce (direct conversions, cart optimization) and consultative (MQL nurturing, complex deal support) sales models.
- Lead and mentor a focused marketing team, aligning efforts with business revenue goals.
- Provide regular reporting to the CEO on pipeline metrics, ROI, and revenue impact segmented by sales motion.
Demand Generation & Campaigns
- Design and launch inbound/outbound campaigns optimized for ecommerce conversions and consultative lead nurturing.
- Collaborate with Content to adapt assets (e.g., landing pages, emails, webinars) for campaign use across both sales models.
- Continuously optimize campaigns for lead quality, conversion rates, and sales alignment, incorporating SEO where applicable.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Sales to refine ICPs, streamline MQL-to-SQL handoffs, and enhance enablement resources.
- Work with Finance on ROI modeling, budget allocation, and marketing attribution.
- Coordinate with Content to ensure timely asset delivery and alignment with campaign goals.
Operations & Analytics
- Manage HubSpot for automation, segmentation, lead scoring, and tracking pipeline progression.
- Implement A/B testing and analytics protocols to measure campaign effectiveness across key metrics.
- Leverage tools like Google Analytics, Excel/SQL, and BI platforms to monitor KPIs including MQL-to-revenue contribution, pipeline velocity, and ecommerce conversion rates.
Resource Management
- Oversee marketing budgets, prioritizing high-ROI initiatives and strategic investments.
- Collaborate with Content on shared resource planning for asset production.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive marketing experience, including 3–5 years in a leadership role managing teams of 5+.
- Proven success in building revenue pipelines and scaling MQL generation in mid-sized B2B environments.
- Experience developing strategies for both ecommerce and consultative sales motions.
- Advanced proficiency in HubSpot (or equivalent) for automation, lead nurturing, and ecommerce integrations.
- Strong expertise in digital marketing, sales enablement, and conversion optimization.
- Analytical mindset with experience in ROI analysis, pipeline attribution, and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a track record of executive-level reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field required; MBA preferred.
- Bonus: Certifications in HubSpot Inbound Marketing, Google Analytics, or similar.
