Salesforce Marketing Cloud & Data Cloud Developer

Location: Columbus, OH; Hybrid - 2 days/week (Must be local - No relocation) Pay: $85-95/hr

Responsibilities: - Design and implement customer journeys in Journey Builder and Automation Studio, enabling multi-channel engagement through email, SMS, and push notifications. - Connect and integrate external databases and APIs into Salesforce Data Cloud, ensuring unified customer profiles and reliable data pipelines. - Build and maintain data ingestion flows, data models, and calculated insights within Data Cloud to power segmentation and personalization. - Write and optimize AMPscript, SQL, and SSJS to support dynamic content, audience targeting, and automation. - Partner with business stakeholders to translate marketing requirements into scalable technical solutions using Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud. - Establish and enforce coding, deployment, and data governance standards across Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud development. - Create and maintain technical documentation for journeys, data integrations, and automation processes. - Mentor junior Salesforce developers, promoting best practices in journey development and data connectivity. - Stay current with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud releases, features, and best practices to continuously improve solutions.

Qualifications: Required - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud development experience. - Active Salesforce certifications (e.g., Marketing Cloud Developer, Marketing Cloud Consultant, Data Cloud Consultant). - Proven ability to create and optimize customer journeys using Marketing Cloud (Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Mobile Studio). - Strong proficiency in SQL, AMPscript, SSJS, and API integrations. - Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, including data ingestion, modeling, identity resolution, and calculated insights. - Solid understanding of data-driven marketing, personalization, and segmentation strategies. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred - Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools (Salesforce DX, Copado, Gearset).
