Location:

Seattle or local resident. Primarily remote, with periodic in-person attendance at rehearsals, performances, or content capture sessions at The Drama Room (University Heights Center) and West of Lenin Theatre.

Status:

Part-time, 15–20 hours per week

Compensation:

$21–25/hour, depending on experience

About Us Jet City Improv is a Seattle-based nonprofit theater company that has been bringing spontaneous joy, connection, and laughter to audiences since 1992. We produce live improv shows, teach classes, and deliver outreach programs that use improv to build community and inspire creativity.

We’re seeking a

Marketing & Content Coordinator

to serve as our

primary image designer and social media lead . This position is ideal for someone who loves working independently, takes initiative, and thrives in a creative environment surrounded by performers and artists.

Position Overview This role focuses on creating and sharing engaging visual content that tells Jet City’s story. You’ll design posters, graphics, and videos for shows and classes, and manage the organization’s social media presence. You’ll collaborate closely with staff, directors, and performers to capture the energy of our work and bring it to audiences online and in print.

You’ll work alongside the Business Director, who manages email marketing, press, and print ordering, while you lead design and digital promotion.

Key Responsibilities Design & Visuals

Serve as Jet City Improv’s lead designer for all digital and print materials.

Create engaging graphics, posters, and social media content that reflect our unique voice and visual identity.

Develop cohesive looks for new shows, special events, and recurring series.

Maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials.

Social Media & Digital Marketing

Manage Jet City Improv’s social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) with consistent and proactive posting across all channels.

Use Meta Planner or other scheduling tools to plan, organize, and pre-schedule content in alignment with show and class calendars.

Plan and schedule posts that promote upcoming shows, classes, and community events.

Capture and edit photos or short videos from performances, rehearsals, and classes.

Track engagement analytics and adjust strategies to strengthen audience reach.

Work closely with the Business Director and Artistic Director to align designs with marketing timelines, campaigns and artistic vision.

Partner with show directors and performers to create visuals that match each show’s tone and concept.

Coordinate with staff to ensure class and show materials are accurate and up to date.

Qualifications

1–3 years of experience in marketing, design, or content creation (or equivalent portfolio work).

Strong design skills in Canva; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite a plus.

Experience using Meta Planner or similar scheduling tools to maintain a consistent posting rhythm.

Experience managing organizational social media accounts.

Excellent eye for layout, typography, and branding consistency.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.

A love of live performances, comedy, and community-based arts is a big plus.
