At Gigi, we’re building the future of AI networking. The real currency in the professional world isn’t your résumé, it’s your
Social Capital : who you know, what people say about you, and the trust you’ve built. Until now, it was invisible. We make Social Capital visible, and usable. Gigi is the first private AI network built on your real relationships. No feeds, no performative content. Just context, reputation, and your network finally working for you. We’ve raised $8M from Sequoia, Khosla Ventures, and OpenAI, we’re a team of 7, based in San Francisco. Since launching in 2023, we have released several products, bringing +1.5M users in the product and reaching the top of the App Store several times. We’re looking for a
founding product designer
to help define how people experience Gigi — from the smallest interaction to the overall system. You’ll own design end-to-end, making the invisible currency of Social Capital intuitive, beautiful, and addictive to use. What you\'ll do Translate fuzzy ideas and AI capabilities into intuitive, human experiences. Design and improve the core loops: onboarding, search, recommendations, connection flows, and daily engagement. Prototype and test quickly to validate UX before scaling. Partner with the founder and engineers on product strategy and feature definition. Build the foundation of design culture at Gigi and mentor future hires. Requirements 3+ years in product design with a strong UX focus (consumer apps, social, marketplaces, or other high-retention products). You’ve designed and shipped 0→1 experiences where UX was the make-or-break factor. Exceptional at user flows, and interaction design; you can wireframe as easily as polish. Portfolio that shows systems thinking (how the product fits together), not just isolated screens. Deep understanding of user psychology, behavior loops, and retention mechanics. Comfortable in fast, ambiguous environments — you design scrappy first, then refine. Bonus: motion design, brand identity, or product writing chops. Our philosophy A-players only. We’d rather build around one exceptional person than hire five average ones. High ownership. You’ll have a direct hand in shaping not just the product, but the company itself. Flat structure. Titles reflect scope, not politics. Mission-first. Human connection is broken; fixing it is our obsession. What we offer Compensation & equity: competitive salary + significant ownership. Relocation: visa sponsorship and support to move to San Francisco if needed Office: In-person work in our SF office Seniority level
