Base pay range $130,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr
Position Product Designer (L3-L5)
Type Full-time Position
Compensation $130,000–$250,000 per year
Key Responsibilities
Own design for core user journeys, from early flows to polished UI across the product
Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to implement new features and refine existing ones
Drive design decisions through a combination of user empathy, data, and aesthetic judgment
Clarify complex user experiences as the product grows and evolves
Establish and maintain a clean, modern visual language inspired by tools like Notion, leveraging Tailwind CSS elements
Partner with the Head of Design to articulate and evolve Mercor’s design philosophy and culture
Develop product tutorials and onboarding experiences that guide users intuitively without explicit instructions
Qualifications
Strong years of product design experience, ideally at fast-paced startups or high-bar product teams
Experience working closely with engineering and understanding implementation constraints
Comfortable participating in product discussions, prioritization, and driving features to completion
Proven ability to work autonomously and define design processes in ambiguous environments
Passion for creating products that are intuitive, beautiful, and enjoyable to use
Excited about working directly with founders and influencing company-wide product direction
