Principal Product Designer
to join our
Platform
team, focused on designing experiences that span our product portfolio, including Measurement and Sales (CRM). Your work will range from traditional advertising experiences to future-state explorations leveraging AI technology to redefine interactions and monetization models in the advertising industry. Location note: By applying to this U.S. position, you are expected to be local to Mountain View, CA or Redmond, WA and in office 4 days a week. Responsibilities
Ship world-class AI-powered experiences that delight advertisers, publishers, sellers and consumers with emphasis on craft, quality, trust, and positive user and societal impact Own a product area, understand user needs, define product requirements, and manage end-to-end product development, launches and iterations Coordinate cross-functional teams, scoping and scheduling, and drive implementation with engineering to the finish line Navigate obstacles to deliver value quickly and iteratively to users Set and uphold standards of excellence and quality across the team Operate in a fast-paced, design-driven product development cycle Partner with Product Managers to define goals and KPIs, set up experiments, and measure success with data and research Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product managers, engineers, sales, other designers) to build exceptional consumer-grade applications Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Master's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 6+ years of product or service design experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 8+ years of product or service design experience OR equivalent experience in product or service design or design thinking 5+ years of experience designing end-to-end enterprise products or complex systems Preferred Qualifications: Proven track record of setting design vision for innovative products requiring bold thinking Ability to break large work into phased execution and lead cross-functional teams from idea to implementation Demonstrated high craft in design work with well-polished prototypes Ability to advocate for design thinking and influence outcomes in fast-paced, ambiguous environments Experience with qualitative and quantitative research to measure design impact Experience prompting LLMs or working with generative AI Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, startup-like environment Collaborative and inclusive mindset with a portfolio or work samples demonstrating end-to-end product design Compensation and Benefits
Product Design IC5 – typical base pay range across the U.S. is USD 139,900 – 274,800 per year. The range varies by location (e.g., San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area: USD 188,000 – 304,200 per year). Some roles may be eligible for additional benefits and compensation.
