The Global Communications team shapes eBays reputation by building trust with customers and amplifying our purpose worldwide. Brand Communications leads storytelling that defines our identity, reinforces our purpose, and builds emotional connection with consumers and communities.

About the Role

Were seeking a highly creative, strategic, and seasoned communicator to lead the development and execution of eBays global brand narrative. The Senior Manager will translate our purpose, innovation, and customer?centric values into compelling stories that drive awareness, affinity, and trust.

What Youll Accomplish

  • Lead Brand Storytelling: Define and evolve eBays brand narrative to reflect our purpose and differentiation across consumer audiences.
  • Develop Integrated Campaigns: Build and execute innovative, cross?channel communication campaigns that elevate brand visibility and strengthen marketplace consideration.
  • Partner Across Functions: Collaborate with Marketing, Creative, and Business Units to align storytelling with brand campaigns and product initiatives.
  • Drive Earned Media Impact: Cultivate strong media relationships and deliver coverage that showcases eBays relevance in culture, innovation, and purpose.
  • Manage Global Agency Partners: Lead agency partners in concepting and delivering high?impact campaigns that reinforce eBays global brand positioning.
  • Enhance Reputation: Support proactive and reactive communication strategies that uphold eBays integrity and leadership in the marketplace.

What Youll Bring
  • Minimum ten years of experience in brand, consumer, or corporate communications, ideally across both agency and in?house roles.
  • Proven success building and leading integrated communications strategies for global brands.
  • Strong media and influencer relationships across business, culture, and lifestyle verticals.
  • Deep understanding of consumer insights and cultural trends, and ability to connect them to brand storytelling.
  • Ability to influence and partner with senior leaders and cross?functional teams in a matrixed global organization.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a creative and strategic mindset.
  • Occasional travel to support events, shoots, and team collaboration.


Compensation & Benefits

Base pay range: $162,000 $216,300. Total compensation may include target bonus, restricted stock units, and a full suite of benefits such as health insurance, 401(k) eligibility, PTO, and parental leave. Full details are provided upon offer.
