Description
Apple is seeking a self-driven Sr. Product Engineer to play a central role in the development of new products and features for the News and Stocks applications. This role requires a rare blend of product management, user insight, and technical know-how to translate complex problems into actionable tasks. You will collaborate with experts in engineering, design, editorial, business, and analytics to envision new experiences, author requirements for those features, prioritize efforts, and shepherd the project from idea, to development, to launch. In this hands-on position, you will collect and synthesize input from internal teams, prioritize these requirements, advise on their implementation, and document workflows and processes to guide complex features to a successful launch. This will require you to organize and lead cross-functional discussions, guide prioritization of competing requirements, and consolidate them into a detailed, actionable plan that aligns with stakeholders’ expectations. Along the way, you will identify and mitigate risks, using your knowledge and expertise to define core questions, efficiencies, and processes to ensure the best possible experience for our users.
Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of industry experience as product or program manager

Experience building products with personalized recommendations, machine learning (ML), and natural language search (NLS)

Able to ramp up on new topics quickly and transform complex features into actionable, understandable concepts

Track record of managing multiple, complex projects including requirements, interdependencies, risks, and backup plans

Effective oral, written, and presentation skills when communicating to peers and leadership across technical and non-technical audiences

Capable of adapting quickly and constructively to changes

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
