Primary Skills: Design Controls (Advanced), Risk Management (Experienced), Medical Devices (Experienced), Project Management tools (Proficient), Usability Engineering (Experienced) Contract Type: W2 Only Duration: 11+ Months Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Remote is possible) Pay Range: $70 - $75 per hour on W2 Job Summary: We are seeking a Human Factors Design Controls Engineer to join our pioneering team at my client’s place, dedicated to advancing minimally invasive care through intelligent technology. This role plays a critical part in guiding the development and maintenance of usability engineering documentation within Design Controls, supporting global medical device regulatory submissions. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in design controls, risk management, and usability engineering to collaborate with various teams, ensuring the creation of high-quality documentation and contributing to the mission of enhancing patient care through innovation. Key Responsibilities: Assist in planning and organizing document remediation efforts for multiple product risk assessments. Analyze and revise existing risk analysis documents into new formats, adhering to Client’s risk management standards. Support Quality Engineering by editing and refining large volumes of risk items within a standardized document remediation methodology. Prioritize and assess plans for simultaneous document improvements based on the content's emergent needs. Serve as a dedicated support and subject matter expert to the human factors engineering team across all business units. Must-Have Skills: Proficiency in Polarion, Agile, or similar design controls project collaboration tools. Solid understanding of medical device risk management and document requirements per IQRM 13485, ISO14971, and 62366. Strong ability to collaborate, communicate clearly, and analyze data within a highly interactive team environment. Industry Experience: Experience in medical devices or a closely related field is required, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the complexities in medical product development and regulatory compliance.
