Employment with BambooHR is contingent on passing both a background and credit check. We are seeking a dynamic Customer Engagement Marketing Manager to play a foundational role in building and scaling BambooHR’s customer community strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to expand a growing program and shape the long-term vision for customer engagement. You will manage and evolve our existing customer community, create and execute customer events, and foster meaningful connections that strengthen our customer relationships. You will: Manage the BambooHR Customer Community: Oversee day-to-day activity, foster conversation, and respond to customer engagement moments Drive promotional strategy to boost community growth and engagement across email, in-app, and community channels Manage customer award strategy, engagement rewards, and recognition of customer community participation Collaborate with internal teams (Customer Success, Product Marketing, CX, Advocacy) to curate relevant topics and experiences Execute an annual calendar of customer-facing events, including meetups, panels, and user groups Create segmented invitation lists and manage end-to-end logistics for each event Lead post-event engagement efforts in the community and other follow-up channels Track key engagement metrics, analyze performance, and suggest areas for improvement Maintain clear documentation of upcoming community touchpoints and partner responsibilities Bring fresh ideas and energy to building a vibrant, connected customer community What You Need to Get the Job Done Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or equivalent experience 3-4 years of experience in customer marketing, email marketing, or lifecycle marketing Expertise in building and optimizing automated email and in-app campaigns Strong writing skills and storytelling instincts, with the ability to match tone to different customer types Analytical mindset; comfortable pulling reports and interpreting performance data Ability to work cross-functionally and align with stakeholders across various teams Proactive, resourceful, and detail-oriented; thrives in fast-paced environments Positive attitude and collaborative spirit What Will Make Us REALLY Love You Background in events, customer advocacy, or brand community programs Light content or copywriting experience for invites, discussion prompts, or post-event recaps Familiarity with community platforms, community moderation best practices, or NPS/feedback tools Comprehensive health, life, and disability insurance Generous leave policies that include 4 weeks of vacation, 12 company holidays, parental leave, and volunteer time off At BambooHR, we’re building a people intelligence platform that transforms HR and sets people free to do great work.
