Social Media Marketing Director Location: New York, NY 10018 Job Summary
The Director-Social Media plays a vital role in managing and elevating the bank’s social media presence across internal (e.g., HR) and external (e.g., Consumer, Private Bank) audiences. This position advances multi-channel campaigns and awareness initiatives that drive brand alignment, stakeholder engagement, and competitive visibility. The role administers the enterprise platform (Sprinklr), contributes content, analyzes campaign performance, and provides strategic go-to-market recommendations. Core responsibilities include content development, editorial oversight, calendar and budget management, and translating insights into actionable direction for the bank’s social media strategy. Job Responsibilities
Project management, calendar management, and proactive leadership for posts in development, awaiting sign-off, edits, or refinements. Manage the Sprinklr platform, update content, handle edits, reposts, and technical issues. Content creation: develop basic holiday and general-interest content (including topics like fraud management and quarterly earnings) and collaborate with marketing managers in lines of business to finalize posts. Apply best practices and conduct ongoing competitive assessments by line of business; engage in dialogue to ensure the bank utilizes strong ideas and optimal platforms. Analyze and resolve problems pertaining to the Sprinklr platform. Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum experience: 8+ years in Social Media Management (particularly LinkedIn). Strong writing skills with demonstrated interest in the banking industry. Ability to work in a hybrid/remote environment with consistent online presence and proactive engagement. Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards; completes required compliance training. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Additional Accountabilities
Performs special projects and additional duties and responsibilities as required. Preferred Qualifications
Education level preferred: Undergraduate Degree (4 years) or equivalent experience. Job Competencies
Banking – basic understanding of consumer products, commercial and corporate lending, investment banking, wealth management. Strong writer with demonstrated experience developing content and finished copy/design in the financial industry. Demonstrated portfolio of using behavioral, age, and media consumption segmentation strategies. Demonstrates ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders by clear communication, proactive collaboration, and leveraging cross-functional insights; aligns relationship-building with enterprise goals to accelerate performance. Build trusted client relationships, internal or external, by identifying needs and delivering tailored solutions to enhance the overall client experience.
