The Account Executive manages relationships with local and regional businesses, protects and grows the revenue base, identifies and creates new business opportunities with existing and new clients, and provides marketing solutions to help customers achieve their business goals. The role involves strategic planning and initiatives to meet personal, company and corporate directives, with budgeting revenue targets as the minimum performance expectation. The right candidate will invest in personal professional development, understanding technology, marketing, and the full suite of company products and services. Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
Able to identify client business needs by understanding goals, objectives, processes, and market trends to develop customized marketing solutions. Deliver and develop effective marketing solutions via multi-platform, integrated sales presentations, including Cumulus broadcast, digital, and event tactics to drive results. Negotiate and close business to drive revenue and foster long-term client relationships across all media types. Maintain proficient knowledge of Cumulus Media assets and resources; continuously learn to stay current with industry advertising opportunities. Represent the full suite of products and services (station digital assets, internet marketing, social media, streaming, events, and specialized programming). Manage time effectively to optimize revenue opportunities and client fulfillment of sales agreements; assist in developing creative messaging across platforms. Prospect actively to maintain a full sales pipeline through networking, cold calling, canvassing, referrals, and other means. Follow station and corporate procedures for preparing orders, resolving billing issues, submitting regular reports on sales, pipeline, forecasts, and competitive analysis. Collaborate to represent the brand and help clients achieve success. Qualifications
Proficient in Microsoft Office, social networking platforms, and CRM tools Excellent communication skills Passion for developing new business relationships in outside sales Enjoy presenting to clients about sales opportunities and post-sale successes Strong lead generation skills and ability to connect with viable prospects Understanding of sales metrics to maintain a constant sales funnel Self-motivated and entrepreneurial spirit Positive, collaborative attitude; high energy and passion for sales Flexible, creative and curious Digitally savvy What We Offer
