JOB OVERVIEW
We’re seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Assistant Editor to support our post-production team and help maintain efficient workflows across multiple projects. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of media management, project organization, and post-production best practices. You’ll play a key role in preparing projects for our editors, ensuring consistent structure, and keeping our systems running smoothly. Our team primarily edits in DaVinci Resolve, so experience with (or a strong willingness to learn) Resolve is preferred. RESPONSIBILITIES
Create, organize, and manage projects from ingest to delivery Syncing media for a variety of projects and multi-camera workflows Maintain and enforce workflow standards for bin structures, timelines, and naming conventions Review, assess, and restructure projects as needed to adhere to company standards Assemble rough cuts and stringouts as needed Reformat and conform content for final deliverables Maintain archival databases and media logs Oversee cloud workflows and organization Assist with server organization, upkeep, and general post-production logistics Provide technical and editorial support to editors Oversee OS and software updates across multiple workstations Basic audio normalization and mixing from multiple mic sources Basic color space transforms (Ex: RAW to Rec709) QUALIFICATIONS
Deep knowledge of the post-production pipeline Strong understanding of various media formats, codecs, resolutions, etc Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Experience managing large media libraries and shared storage (NAS) bility to prioritize multiple tasks and support several editors at once Familiar with NAS systems Basic photo and video editing abilities Familiar with Airtable, Excel, Sheets, and other database / organizational tools This is an in-office position that offers the opportunity to collaborate with a growing and talented creative team.
