Overview

Telecommunications BIM Designer position at Jacobs. This is a geographically flexible, hybrid role in the U.S. Base pay range: $54,100.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Responsibilities

Engage in design documentation and be responsible for the setup and management of Revit BIM models in coordination with other discipline BIM leads and team members. Work under the direction of telecom discipline leads to showcase Revit expertise in accordance with Jacobs and client BIM standards. Use Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD to create and manage content toward fully coordinated 3D models across all design disciplines (C, S, A, M, E, P, T, I, L). Create 2D construction drawings and ensure deliverables are clash-free and constructable. Collaborate with designers, discipline leads, architects and engineers on the Jacobs design team to turn design intent into deliverables. Contribute to a dynamic telecom design team working on advanced facilities projects in the semiconductor manufacturing industry and other state-of-the-art facilities. Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent At least 3 years of BIM design experience At least 3 years of experience in telecommunications systems design and construction industry Growing understanding of codes and standards shaping design decisions Growing understanding of design and construction specifications and their function Basic understanding of wiring/cabling connections in relation to circuits or links between devices and equipment Experience following client design and modeling standards Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup software Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to estimate hours for design and modeling efforts based on provided mark-ups and/or verbal direction Willingness to learn new things Preferred/Ideally

At least 3 years of Revit and/or AutoCAD design experience Understanding of semiconductor or data center environments Knowledge and design experience with paging, intercom and audio-visual systems Knowledge of life safety and security systems, fire alarms, access control, CCTV Knowledge of control systems, network components and topology Benefits and Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $54,100.00 to $85,000.00, and compensation is hourly-based depending on hours worked and location. Additional Information
