Position Overview Talladega College, Alabama’s first private historically Black college, seeks a talented and innovative Multimedia Specialist to join the Office of Institutional Advancement. This position is responsible for producing compelling visual and multimedia content that supports the College’s brand, recruitment, and engagement goals. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in photography, videography, and digital editing with a strong sense of storytelling and design.

Key Responsibilities

Capture and produce high-quality photography and video content for marketing campaigns, campus events, publications, and social media.

Edit and produce multimedia assets, including highlight reels, interviews, short features, and branded visuals, using industry-standard software.

Maintain and organize the College’s digital media library, ensuring proper archiving and consistent visual standards.

Collaborate with the team on creative concepts, storytelling, and content strategies.

Support the execution of marketing and public relations initiatives, including social media campaigns, press events, and multimedia storytelling projects.

Provide live event coverage, including equipment setup, filming, and post-production editing.

Ensure all visual materials align with Talladega College’s brand identity, messaging, and quality standards.

Stay informed on emerging trends in digital media production, content marketing, and creative technology.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Mass Media, Marketing, Visual Arts, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

Minimum of two years of professional experience in photography, videography, and multimedia production.

Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, After Effects, Illustrator).

Strong understanding of lighting, composition, and visual storytelling.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Experience with drone photography/videography preferred.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
