Culver City based, design oriented architectural practice with a construction component looking for qualified candidates eager to further their experience and grow with us.
As we continue to expand our business model of Architect led Design Build services alongside the typical Design, Bid, Build Model we are looking for a team member that is ready to elevate their career and grow their knowledge about what it means to be an Architect and Builder in 2025 and beyond. A person that is self motivated, who can put their head down to get work done but can also enjoy the process and experience of a small office will succeed with Colega. Being in the office in a Design Build Firm means you will hear, and be a part of, projects from design through construction. You will be a part of the communications with owners and consultants and you will have the opportunity to visit projects in construction on a regular basis.
Candidates will be working in all phases of the architectural process and will be producing quality documents and presentations from inception through completion. The candidate must have real world custom single family home experience, preferably in the Los Angeles area. Candidates experience should include project and consultant coordination as well as construction documents and project procurement.
This position requires strong graphic, and communication skills, both written and verbal. Candidates should hold a bachelor's or master's degree in architecture. We offer competitive compensation and benefits. We view this position as an opportunity towards long term growth. Compensation will be based on experience and qualification. This is an in office job opportunity. Our office is located in Culver City.
Qualifications / Requirements
5+ years experience in single family home sector
Degree from an accredited architecture or design school required
Excellent communication and management skills
ArchiCad Experience is preferred (but not required)
High Proficiency in ACAD
High Proficiency in SketchUp
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows environment
Knowledge in detailing and construction techniques of stick built construction
Experience working with consultants
Experience preparing construction documents
Experience with city processing
Candidates must live inthe greaterLos Angelesareaand be a US Citizen or have a valid VISA to work in the US
