Overview

Morght Inc. is a leading innovator in the lifestyle and wellness industry in Japan, known for its premium mattress products and commitment to quality. As we expand our market presence in the US, we are looking for a senior-level marketing professional to join our brand-new team. This is an individual contributor role requiring the strategic mindset and skillset of a marketing manager, capable of independently owning and executing initiatives across multiple channels. The base pay range is provided for transparency and will be based on skills and experience.

Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies to build brand awareness and drive customer acquisition in the US, with a core focus on the California market.
  • Independently oversee the full spectrum of digital marketing, including performance marketing, social media planning, influencer marketing, SEO, email marketing, and web-PR.
  • Analyze data and provide insights to continuously optimize campaigns, improve performance, and maximize ROI.
  • Manage content creation and ensure consistent brand messaging across all touchpoints.
  • Conduct market and competitive research to identify opportunities and inform strategy.
  • Collaborate with GHQ (Tokyo) and external partners/agencies to align global and local marketing initiatives.
  • Apply strong project management skills to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of all campaigns.
Qualifications
  • 68 years of experience in marketing, with a strong background in DTC, e-commerce, or consumer goods.
  • Proven ability to independently manage the entirety of digital marketing, beyond performance marketing alone.
  • Strong knowledge of digital channels, analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, SEO tools, etc.), and project management.
  • Demonstrated experience in scaling or growing a DTC business.
  • Excellent communication and content development skills for US consumers.
  • Experience in influencer marketing, brand partnerships, affiliate marketing and social media strategy.
  • Experience in identifying and managing specialized agencies/internal team members across different marketing domains.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and lead initiatives independently.
Nice-to-haves
  • Conversational Japanese (previous experience working for a Japanese company is a plus).
