Compunnel, Inc. is hiring: Senior Web Developer in Chicago

The Senior Web Developer will design, develop, test, and implement web and API-based software solutions for clients. This role involves collaborating with application specialists to support enterprise applications, write frontend and backend code, and ensure high-quality, defect-free solutions in compliance with defined standards. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with team members to support client enterprise applications. Develop and unit test RESTful web services and HTTPS-based web applications using tools such as SOAP UI and Postman. Translate business requirements into well-documented, standards-compliant code and design documents. Write frontend and backend code for web applications using Java, AngularJS, Spring Framework, and related technologies. Identify, prioritize, and resolve defects according to service-level agreements. Assess and triage technical issues based on urgency and impact, escalating as necessary. Manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. Participate in cross-training and share best practices within and across teams. Rapidly learn new applications and technologies to support evolving client needs. Foster teamwork and maintain positive working relationships with internal and client teams. Analyze vendor-released application upgrades and implement necessary changes. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 7 years of experience as a Programmer/Analyst, Software Developer, IT Consultant, or similar role. Proven expertise in the following technologies: Java, AngularJS, Spring Framework, Spring Security, Hibernate SQL Developer/Toad, JIRA, JBoss Cruise Control, Eclipse Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a client-focused mindset. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
