Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Salesforce Product Owner to join our innovative digital health team. This pivotal role blends technical CRM expertise with a deep commitment to improving patient and family experiences across diverse populations. You will lead the development and optimization of data-driven journeys, dashboards, and workflows within Salesforce to support seamless communication, enhance engagement, and drive better health outcomes.
As a key liaison between external vendors and internal stakeholders-including clinical, IT, and patient experience leaders-you will ensure our digital health solutions align with enterprise goals and user needs. From ideation through launch, you will oversee the full product lifecycle, advocating for equitable, patient-centered design and leveraging data insights to continuously improve our offerings.
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will help shape product strategy to reflect broader organizational objectives, making a meaningful impact through cutting-edge digital health innovations.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree (Required), Master's Degree (Preferred)
- Minimum Work Experience: 3+ years Proven experience in a product owner or similar role (Required)
- Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Understand HIPAA regulations and data privacy
- Passion for improving the patient and caregiver experience
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Align the product strategy with Children's National's mission of being patient-centric and offering equitable access and care.
- Ensure that Children's National's implementation adheres to HIPAA compliance and relevant healthcare regulations.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools
- Familiarity with user experience (UX) design principles
- Strong understanding of healthcare systems, patient care processes, and digital health technologies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Required Licenses and Certifications:
- Project Management (Preferred)
- Lean/Agile (Preferred)
Functional Accountabilities
- Coordinate tasks consistent with workload requirements and available resources.
- Participate in specified divisional operations and systems.
- Recommend and participate in development of new processes and systems to meet departmental needs.
- Participate in the training of internal team members on workflows and digital health technologies; assist with determining work assignments, schedules and priorities; provide work guidance and oversee the activities of one or more processes.
- Lead the development and execution of the digital health product roadmap
- Work closely with external vendors to integrate and enhance digital health solutions
- Collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders across the organization to improve and increase utilization of digital health tools.
- Organize and lead testing of product enhancements, integration features, upgrades, and problem resolutions.
- Regularly round with patients and families and internal end users to understand workflow and design issues that impact optimization of the product.
- Track industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Analyze internal and external user data to identify areas for improvement and optimize product features.
- Report on product performance to Children's National leadership and external reference groups.
- Track and analyze issues and perform root cause analysis to reduce the inflow of recurring issues.
- Ensure the digital health products are user-friendly, equitable, and effective in achieving desired health outcomes.
- Monitor and analyze product performance, making data-driven decisions to improve functionality and user experience.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related inquiries and issues.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the digital health landscape and emerging technologies.
