Your career opportunity
The role will report to the development lead working within an agile environment. The role will be responsible for developing features to enhance the user experience within the global cybersecurity vulnerability management systems.
You’ll address complex tasks and problems and transform them into accessible, consistent and easy-to-use solutions for our business users around the globe. This is a truly multi-disciplined, end-to-end role that will see you working in a highly Agile development team across the full design and development lifecycle, actively engaging with everyone in the team as well as with our business users and stakeholders.
The role will collaborate with other UI developers, UX analysts, product owners, software engineers, and business analysts to research, design, develop, test, and iterate solutions to ensure that we’re solving our business users design problems in the very best way possible.
What you’ll do
Develop and test interactive prototypes (both lo-fi and hi-fi)
Develop and maintain our Design System
Actively work with other members of our development team (and other teams that share our development framework) to collaborate on the design, creation, and testing of UX design assets, UI components, and their associated documentation
UI development - turn your tested and validated designs into real working code, from basic UI components to new application features, and ensure they are fully documented and integrated into our shared development framework
Support our software engineers to ensure our back-end code integrates seamlessly into our front-end code and presentation layer
Collaborate with end-users, stakeholders, product owners, architecture and product support teams to dig into the real problems we need to solve so we can ensure our UX strategy and roadmap is designed to tackle those problems
Help create a ‘Design Thinking’ culture across our development teams and promote the benefits of good UX design
What you need to have to succeed in this role
5+ years experience in a developer role
Understanding of key design principles.
Experience delivering responsive and adaptive designs
Knowledge and experience of Microservices, Restful APIs, and DevOps tooling
A genuine passion for, and self-motivated interest in, UI development as a profession
Be a curious, enthusiastic and creative ‘Design Thinker’ with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
An ability to work effectively as part of a diverse and global Agile team, but able to work independently too when required
