Responsibilities
- Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties; setting clear expectations; providing associate recognition; and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace. Recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and support company growth.
- Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; and building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results.
- Leads and develops teams by teaching, training, listening to associates; touring stores and providing feedback; communicating with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction; introducing and leading company change efforts; and guiding the implementation of business solutions.
- Models exceptional customer service standards by following the One Best Way service model; managing and supporting customer service initiatives; ensuring customer needs and issues are resolved; developing action plans to correct deficiencies; and providing process improvement leadership for a high-quality customer experience.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and ethics; supports the mission, values, and standards of integrity; applies Open Door Policy in business processes and practices.
- Drives financial performance and sales by reviewing P&L statements; assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses; ensuring effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes; mitigating shrink; and achieving sales and profit goals.
- Demonstrates respect for individuals, works as a team, acts with integrity, serves customers, and strives for excellence by embracing differences, communicating with impact, and driving continuous improvements.

Eligibility and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For facilities that sell firearms, a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check and Firearms Authorized Training may be required. For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Associates must attend and complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; experience supervising 5 or more direct reports including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
