Per Diem/Day Shift. The Therapist-Recreational Music coordinates and provides clinical programs and services to patients with a wide variety of diagnoses and disabilities in the acute Sr. Psychiatric unit. Develops programs to promote and contribute to the rehabilitation effort and to provide the patient and family/caregivers with the skills and resources necessary for successful communication/leisure reintegration after discharge.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical music therapy services within the acute psychiatric unit as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team. Develop and implement evidence-based recreational music therapy programs to support rehabilitation and enhance communication and leisure reintegration for patients and their families/caregivers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Music Therapy, or related field; from an accredited college/university.
• Current certification with the American Music Therapy Association, or the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Board certified as a Music Therapist
• Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $28.41 - $43.47. The base pay range may include additional compensation such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
