Base pay range

$54,960.00/yr - $87,840.00/yr

Responsibilities

As a Producer, you’ll serve as the heart of the newsroom. You’ll lead the charge on driving local news coverage and determining the most important stories of the day. You’ll collaborate with your colleagues to tell the news that matters in your community and around the country, making decisions about what to air and when, and how to keep our audience informed.

Be part of the connection. You’ll develop an in-depth understanding of local and breaking news, create newscasts that attract and hold audiences’ attention, transform stories from pitches into compelling pieces, and collaborate with colleagues to determine what goes on air.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Television news – 2+ years
• Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent professional experience
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of social media platforms and basic editing skills (Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro)
• Skills: Go-getter personality, excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Travel Ability: Open to travel to discover important stories in your neighborhood and willingness to interact with the community
• Schedule: Ability to work different shifts and be flexible with schedule changes

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of general office software, newsroom software, and basic non-linear editing systems
• Political experience preferred
• May be required to lift up to five pounds

Working Conditions

• Works primarily inside a climate-controlled environment; field duties may be assigned
• Semi-noisy newsroom setting

The base pay for this position generally is between $54,960.00 and $87,840.00. The actual compensation offered will consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Some positions may be eligible for incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
