Overview

The Varsity Tutors platform offers 1-on-1 online tutoring with flexible scheduling, remote delivery, and opportunities to leverage AI-powered tools to support teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to individual students.
• Accept on-demand tutoring requests when you’re available.
• Tutor remotely using the Live Learning Platform—no commuting required.
• Be matched with students best-suited to your teaching style and expertise.
• Invoice for tutoring sessions; payments are handled by Varsity Tutors.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in Technical Writing and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Priority given to those with tutoring experience, teaching experience, and graduate-level education.

Compensation & Logistics

• Earn incrementally higher pay for each session with the same student—up to $40/hour.
• Get paid up to twice per week, ensuring fast and reliable compensation for the tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice.
• Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.
• We handle the logistics—you just invoice for your tutoring sessions, and we take care of payments.
