Brew is building a next‑gen content distribution platform for filmmakers. Our best‑in‑class platform empowers filmmakers, studios, and producers to monetize their work directly while reaching engaged global audiences.
We’re looking for a strategic, hands‑on Head of Communications & PR to define and amplify Brew’s brand narrative across owned, earned, and shared channels. This role exists to shape a clear, consistent voice for the company; build strong relationships with industry stakeholders, media, and creators; and drive awareness, trust, and engagement for our platform and catalog.
What You’ll Do:
Own the communications strategy end‑to‑end: brand narrative, messaging architecture, and editorial calendar across press, social, thought leadership, and executive communications.
Develop and execute PR campaigns that elevate our product, partnerships, catalog milestones, and creator success stories; secure sustained, high‑quality earned media.
Build and maintain relationships with key journalists, trade press, and industry influencers across film, TV, streaming, and creator ecosystems—especially within Hollywood and the global indie community.
Partner with Content Acquisition, Product, and Operations to turn platform data, product launches, and acquisition wins into compelling narratives and case studies.
Forge strategic partnerships with film festivals, markets, and guilds to amplify Brew announcements, host programming, and access curated slates.
Develop co‑marketing programs with distributors, studios, and sales agents that spotlight joint releases, territory launches, and catalog highlights across owned and earned channels.
Build creator and filmmaker advocacy programs with training, toolkits, and spotlight campaigns that convert partners into consistent brand evangelists.
Collaborate with film schools, incubators, and labs to source emerging talent and co‑create educational content, workshops, and demo days.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in communications, PR, or corporate storytelling within film, TV, streaming, creator economy, or adjacent tech/media sectors.
Demonstrated success owning PR strategy and securing tier‑1 and trade coverage; strong media relationships and a reliable industry network.
Clear, compelling writer and editor with the ability to translate complex product and licensing concepts into accessible narratives.
Comfortable as a public‑facing spokesperson; confident coaching executives and creators for media and events.
Data‑aware communicator who can connect comms outputs to business outcomes; fluency with PR analytics and social listening tools.
Compensation: At Brew, we take a transparent, structured approach to compensation. Offers are based on market data, your experience, location, and how the role fits within our leveling framework. Compensation includes a base plus performance incentives tied to communications outcomes (e.g., campaign impact, coverage quality, audience growth, and contribution to platform and catalog goals). Includes performance incentives and bonuses for meeting brand‑awareness and pipeline‑impact milestones.
