Responsibilities
Community Management: Build and manage the Mailchimp Academy learning community; this includes moderating discussions, onboarding new members, and fostering a positive and engaging environment.
Content Strategy: Develop and support the creation of community‑specific content, working with instructional designers and subject matter experts to create a pipeline of valuable and relevant information for members.
Email Marketing: Manage the end‑to‑end process of developing and sending email communications for Mailchimp Academy using Eloqua. This includes crafting compelling copy, designing templates, segmenting audiences, and ensuring brand consistency.
Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to promote new courses, certifications, and learning events to our community and external audiences.
Performance Analysis: Analyze email and community engagement metrics to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and report on key insights to stakeholders.
Cross‑functional Collaboration: Work closely with the instructional design, program management, and product teams to align communication efforts with key initiatives and product launches.
Requirements
2‑3 years of experience is ideal.
3‑5+ years of previous experience in a marketing, communications, or community management role, preferably in a SaaS, technology, or e‑learning environment.
Community Expertise: Proven experience building and managing an online community, with a strong understanding of community engagement best practices.
Technical Acumen: Proficiency with email marketing platforms (preferably Eloqua) and a solid understanding of marketing automation principles; experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) like Segment.com for audience segmentation and automation.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling, on‑brand messaging for different audiences.
Problem‑Solving: A proactive, analytical, and creative mindset with a passion for finding innovative solutions to challenges.
Collaboration: A demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams and influence stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
