Position Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Fashion Apparel Designer specializing in the Young Adult/Juniors category to join our design team. This role calls for someone who understands the fast-paced world of youth fashion, thrives on innovation, and knows how to translate cultural influences into commercially viable designs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of current Gen Z and Y/A fashion trends, excellent time management skills, and the ability to translate market insights into compelling apparel collections. This role involves collaborating closely with our art, merchandising, and production teams to deliver designs that align with brand identity and customer preferences. Key Responsibilities

Conduct seasonal trend research and market analysis targeting Gen Z and young millennials to inspire fresh and relevant collections and to maintain a competitive edge. Develop original and trend-driven Y/A apparel designs from concept through production. Ensure designs align with brand identity, customer preferences, and sales goals. Collaborate with overseas fabric and trim suppliers to select appropriate materials. Work with the production team to ensure designs meet quality, fit, and cost standards. Attend fittings and make design adjustments as necessary. Monitor competitors and industry trends. Participate in design presentations and communicate ideas effectively to internal teams incorporating feedback with agility. Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field. 2+ years of experience designing juniors apparel or related fashion category. Strong portfolio showcasing juniors wear design, including trend-forward and commercial styles. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design software. Excellent knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and fit for juniors apparel. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate ideas clearly. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Preferred Skills

Experience with CAD software and tech pack creation. Strong illustration and technical drawing skills. Understanding of digital design and e-commerce fashion trends. Seniority Level
