Communications Director, Aerospace Group
Eaton’s IS AER HQ division is currently seeking a Communications Director for the Aerospace Group. This position can be based from a home office within the US and/or at our Beachwood, OH corporate office. Relocation assistance is available to those within the US/PR open to relocating to Beachwood, OH.
Base pay range: $158,249.97/yr – $232,099.95/yr. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
What You’ll Do Strategic Communications
Develop, lead and execute Aerospace’s communications strategy, aligned with the short and long‑term goals of the business, enterprise and communication function.
Partner with leadership to craft compelling narratives that support growth, innovation and employee, customer engagement.
Lead communications for major initiatives including M&A, product launches and strategic partnerships with collaboration and support from the Marketing Communications team as needed.
Executive And Internal Communications
Serve as a trusted communications advisor to the Aerospace president and leadership team.
Lead executive communications including presentations and internal/external messaging.
Drive employee engagement through clear, consistent and inspiring internal communications.
Collaborate closely across multiple functions to support projects within the business, including functional transformation projects, collective bargaining negotiations, etc.
External Communications
Ensure alignment with investor relations, government and community affairs for the externally reported segment.
Responsible for development and distribution of externally facing content, including that targeting current and future employees to improve Eaton positioning as a thought leader and in support of our values. Communication should include LinkedIn and other social media to support Eaton advocacy and positively contribute to the culture of the organization.
Crisis Management
Oversee crisis communications and issues management in coordination with other functional and enterprise stakeholders.
Event Management
Manages content and planning for Aerospace internal communication events including: annual global leadership summits, Board of Director visits, town halls, Aerospace’s participation in enterprise events.
In close partnership with the Marketing Communications Manager, manage content and plan for major industry events including annual Air Shows.
Qualifications Required Basic Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field of study from an accredited institution.
Minimum ten (10) years experience in corporate communications.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to influence and collaborate across a global, matrixed organization.
Strategic thinker with a bias for actions and results.
Strong business acumen and understanding of financial communications.
Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, global environment with many stakeholders.
Passion for the aerospace industry.
