Description Are you passionate about shaping the future of healthcare through user-centered research? Amazon Health is seeking a customer-obsessed Senior UX Researcher to join our team and uncover insights that will reimagine the future of healthcare delivery. You'll lead in-depth studies to deeply understand the needs, behaviors, and pain points of our customers, and translate those insights into opportunities that create transformative digital experiences. Our goal is to make healthcare more accessible, connected, and effective. We're looking for a mixed methods researcher who can generate evidence-based insights that empower better health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead comprehensive healthcare journey mapping and Jobs-to-be‑Done research to understand clinician, provider, and patient needs.

Design and execute mixed‑method research studies that address sensitive healthcare topics, including in‑clinic patient visits, central health record management, and telehealth experiences.

Inform segmentation studies and persona development specific to healthcare audiences.

Work with cross‑functional teams to integrate insights into product development and roadmaps.

Synthesize findings from healthcare research workstreams to identify patterns and opportunities across the health experience.

You'll be at the forefront of reimagining healthcare experiences, combining advanced technology with human‑centered design.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of proven success leading User Research projects with demonstrated impact experience.

5+ years of hands‑on work with field research, ethnography, lab‑based user testing, remote testing, paper prototype testing, iterative prototype testing, concept testing, and survey design experience.

Experience with all aspects of research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting).

Experience with behavioral data collection, quantitative data analysis, and statistics.

Have a portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables (e.g., study plans, reports, personas).

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Human Computer Interaction, or a related field.

Experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and reacting with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, or experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines.

Strong understanding of healthcare privacy concerns and trust‑building research methods, including the handling of protected health information (PHI).

Expertise in zero to one and generative research methodologies.
