Join our innovative design team, transforming digital experiences in Global Investment Banking at J.P. Morgan; a leader in financial services.
As a Lead Product Designer, you will partner closely with product specialists, engineers, and data scientists to reimagine and build digital products which reach across and impact various lines of business. You will creatively solve for user needs while delivering on business goals, in a dynamic environment. The products you craft will be highly usable, intentional, refined, forward-thinking and consider the holistic end-end experience.
Responsibilities
Strategize, lead, and execute design initiatives that respond to user needs and business goals, with a problem and outcome oriented mindset
Understand Investment Banking business roles, workflows, and processes
Collaborate with local and global, multidisciplinary teams of designers, product managers, engineers, AIML data scientists, researchers, subject matter experts, and executive leaders
Foster strong relationships within and across teams, communicate clearly and effectively manage senior stakeholders
Co-conduct discovery and user research. Synthesize insights, document and communicate findings, and iterate designs based on feedback.
Create concepts, prototypes, storyboards, and presentations to showcase product vision and get buy-in from key stakeholders
Define detailed designs and specs which consider flows, interactions, states, information architecture, data visualisation, responsiveness
Leverage and inform the firm’s design system, to ensure consistent, cohesive experiences across our web, mobile, and native applications
Provide indirect leadership and mentorship for designer(s) in same group
Share knowledge and influence stakeholders about our design process and best practices, to optimize operations and elevate our organization
Required
An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating relevant experience. Please include a link to these.
Bachelor's degree or higher in User Experience (UX) Design, Product Design, Interaction Design, Service Design, Visual Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related fields
6+ years of experience designing digital products and services for enterprise solutions
Familiarity with Design Thinking methodology
Proficiency in design, prototyping, and presentation software such as Figma and Keynote
Familiarity with AI/LLM, both integrating them into the working process and designing features related to AI/LLM
Experience in the application of design systems such as Google’s Material Design
Experience working with complex data across multiple platforms (e.g. products, websites, mobile apps, etc.)
Ability to communicate abstract design concepts visually and verbally in a clear and engaging manner
Nice to Have
Familiarity with financial terminologies
Familiarity with Americans with Disabilities Act Standards for Accessible Design and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
