Description

Fire TV is the world's most popular streaming media player, delighting tens of millions of customers every day. We aim to make Fire TV the most loved connected TV experience, globally.

Building a Fire TV business we love means growing monthly active users, increasing the time they spend with Fire TV, and monetizing that engagement through Ads, Subscriptions, and Prime Video. To do that, our UI must surface relevant, contextual content - at scale - across all our marketplaces.

We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to manage the Fire TV Home Page, acting as the business owner for one of the most visible surfaces in Fire TV. This role is responsible for maximizing the overall performance of the Home Page, through smart, data-driven management of content presentation and placement.

You will develop the strategy, frameworks, and operational mechanisms that guide how we utilize the Home Page's premium placements. You will define how we allocate and prioritize that inventory across a complex network of stakeholders and objectives, balancing short-term monetization with long-term customer engagement and experience.

In addition, you will own and run a roadmap of page composition experiments, exploring and validating how changes in content mix, row ranking, layout, and prioritization affect customer engagement and business outcomes. These experiments will inform our long-term strategy for optimizing both the customer experience and Fire TV's business performance.

This is a highly visible and cross-functional role that requires strong analytical acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence senior leaders across Product, UX, Science, and Business Development. You will "work backwards" from customers and content performance to ensure Fire TV's Home Page continues to be both delightful and impactful for customers, content providers, advertisers, and Amazon entertainment services across Prime Video, Luna/Prime Gaming, Amazon Music, and more.

Key job responsibilities

  • Own the Fire TV Home Page performance end-to-end, leveraging placements and content presentation to optimize for customer engagement, monetization, retention, and lifetime value.

  • Develop and operationalize inventory management frameworks that define how placements across surfaces are used and measured.

  • Build and refine decision-making frameworks for boosting or promoting content-balancing discovery of new or strategic content categories with maintaining customer trust, content relevance, and business performance.

  • Lead a roadmap of page composition experiments, testing new approaches to content ranking, row prioritization, and layout to maximize both customer engagement and business outcomes.

  • Define and track core performance metrics, and lead deep-dive analyses to understand drivers of hours, revenue, and customer lifetime value, and drive strategies to optimize them.

  • Work across global teams (Content, Marketing, BD, Product, Advertising, Science, UX) to ensure a cohesive, scalable approach to home page strategy.

  • Communicate vision, strategy, and results to senior executives across the Fire TV and broader Amazon Entertainment leadership teams.

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience analyzing metrics to drive business improvements

Preferred Qualifications
