The Cat Sanctuary is a nonprofit rescue dedicated to helping cats in Lane County receive compassionate care through Trap-Neuter-Return efforts, community education, rescue services, and a lifelong sanctuary for cats who cannot be adopted. We rely on community support to keep our mission thriving, and grant funding is a vital part of that success.

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Grant Writer Volunteer to help secure essential resources for veterinary care, facility needs, and operational sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Research grant opportunities that align with our mission and programs
• Write, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals and applications
• Track deadlines, reporting requirements, and grant status updates
• Work with leadership to gather budgets, program details, and success data
• Maintain organized documentation for current and future funding cycles

Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
• Experience with grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit development preferred
• Comfort working collaboratively via email, shared documents, or Zoom
• Passion for animal welfare and interest in supporting rescue efforts
• Strong writing and editing skills with attention to clarity and detail
