KMBC-TV/KCWE-TV has an opening for a Receptionist to serve as administrative support to the station and assist other departments. You will provide support by performing several tasks that contribute to the daily operations of the department. The Receptionist will serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them; notify company personnel of visitor arrivals; maintain security, clerical tasks and operating the telecommunications system. The position is expected to report 8:30a – 5:30p Mondays, Wednesdays and every other Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone.
  • Provide information to viewers and answer and refer inquiries.
  • Ensure security by managing guest logbook and issuing visitor badges.
  • Sort mail and receive delivery packages.
  • Open and close visitor area.
  • Maintain safe and clean reception area.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, whether in person or on the telephone.
  • Customer focused; must have integrity in handling client inquiries/requests.
  • Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
  • Applicants must be personable and dependable.

  • Able to work with minimum supervision.

  • Professional appearance.

  • In-person attendance is required.

  • Related military experience will be considered.
