Aircraft Maintenance Technical Writer (Over and Above Planner)

You will be an Aircraft Maintenance Technical Writer for the Lockheed Martin Greenville Site. Our team is responsible for repairing dispositions and fabrication requirements for discrepant aircraft conditions discovered while performing aircraft maintenance, modification, repair, and overhaul. What you will be doing As the Aircraft Maintenance Technical Writer you will also work discrepancies that are normally outside the scope of contracted work and are considered Over & Above (O&A). O&A planners use engineering source documents to provide technical direction and references for technicians to execute necessary repairs. The O&A planner will also provide estimated labor budgets and required materials to perform repairs. Negotiations may be required when repair requirements are challenged by customers. O&A planners are expected to conduct spot checks of work documents with Operations' personnel for improvement opportunities. The O&A planner will be expected to execute liaison planner tasks to resolve planning document issues, provide reports, and process planning changes to support hangar floor and flight line operations. Pay rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $67,300 - $118,680. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
