The Creative Manager is the connector between strategy and production — ensuring Hello There Collective’s creative vision translates seamlessly into shoot execution and final content.
This role owns the creative development and execution of shot lists, acting as the key link between social strategy and on-set production. They ensure every scene, model, prop, and detail supports the brand narrative and social strategy behind the work.
The Creative Manager balances creative leadership with operational precision — managing shot list planning, visual direction, and creative consistency across all productions.
They ensure that every shoot — whether influencer‑led, UGC, or campaign‑level — meets Hello There’s creative standards and captures content that performs across platforms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Shot List Development & Integration
- Translate social strategies and content plans into comprehensive shot lists that balance storytelling, performance goals, and creative diversity.
- Partner with the Social Director and Producer to ensure shot lists meet platform needs (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts).
- Develop visual frameworks for shoot days, mapping scenes, models, and setups to key content pillars.
- Ensure shot lists align with strategy objectives — awareness, engagement, conversion, or community building.
- Manage revisions and feedback across departments to finalize approved shot lists before each production.
- Continuously optimize shot list templates and creative processes for efficiency and output quality.
Creative Direction & Standards
- Maintain Hello There’s creative quality standards across all content — from studio to influencer‑led shoots.
- Review creative concepts and pre‑production plans for visual alignment, tone, and storytelling strength.
- Partner with the Creative Director to evolve the agency’s visual identity and ensure it scales across brands.
- Collaborate with Social and Account teams to ensure concepts ladder up to brand strategy.
- Oversee lighting, framing, styling, and creative execution to ensure deliverables match approved references and brand tone.
- Conduct creative quality control on final assets before client delivery.
Model, Styling, and Production Oversight
- Oversee model casting and wardrobe styling to ensure all talent and looks are on‑brand, inclusive, and visually elevated.
- Collaborate with the Producer to confirm model diversity, fit, and overall brand alignment.
- Provide creative notes during styling selections, ensuring cohesion between wardrobe, props, and setting.
- Ensure styling and set direction support social‑first storytelling and content variety.
- Be present (virtually or in person) on set for key shoots, providing creative oversight and ensuring adherence to shot list direction.
- Troubleshoot creative issues in real time and make confident visual decisions during production.
- Partner with the Social Director and Account Director to align shot list priorities with campaign deliverables and timelines.
- Collaborate with the Producer on pre‑production planning, ensuring creative clarity and schedule efficiency.
- Work closely with the Influencer Director to ensure influencer‑led content maintains brand creative standards.
- Provide feedback loops to Social and Growth teams post‑shoot — what worked, what content performed, and what to iterate.
- Document key learnings to improve future shot list design and production strategy.
Process & Workflow Management
- Own the shot list process from ideation through post‑production — ensuring clarity, organization, and deadlines are met.
- Maintain consistent naming conventions, visual references, and file organization across shoots.
- Collaborate with the Producer to track deliverables, version control, and shot coverage.
- Create or refine internal creative documentation (styling guides, lighting references, creative briefs).
- Contribute to creative pre‑pro decks and client‑facing visual direction presentations.
