Writer Producer role at WESH 2 CW18 (WESH 2/CW18, the Hearst‑Owned NBC affiliate in Orlando)
We are seeking a creative Promotions Writer Producer to write, shoot, edit, and design promotion for all media platforms. The role focuses on creating station image promotion that advances our brand and boosts viewer engagement.
Responsibilities
Produce, write, shoot and edit compelling on‑air promos and image campaigns from start to finish that increase viewer interest, brand awareness, and ratings across all platforms.
Organize and build projects from concept to delivery, directing and supervising video editors, sound editors, on‑air talent and video editing.
Create station on‑air image, entertainment promos and graphics—including daily program episodes for air.
Produce and implement community outreach events, including on‑air promotion and event planning.
Assist with street team vehicle and events.
Handle hands‑on editing and online editing management.
Contribute to brainstorming across all departments.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in television writing or producing.
Experience with Adobe applications such as After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop.
Working knowledge of AVID and Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong writing skills – conversational, compelling copy.
Knowledge of production process, including linear and non‑linear editing.
Proficient in videography and lighting.
Image and promotion writing skills.
Ability to work well under extreme deadlines.
Team player, creative, and collaborative.
Related military experience will be considered.
In‑person attendance required.
