Description Central Garden & Pet Company (NASDAQ: CENT) is a leading innovator, marketer and producer of quality branded products for the pet and lawn and garden supplies markets. Our Pet Segment is searching for a Digital Marketing Manager to join our high-growth, startup team on the “Health and Wellness” Business Unit (BU). This BU offers products that support the general health and wellbeing of dogs and cats, with a portfolio of brands in the calming, supplements, and flea & tick categories. The business is currently sold on ecommerce through retailers like Amazon and Chewy, in the Pet Specialty channel, and with large brick & mortar retailers like Walmart and Tractor Supply, with ample opportunity to extend the distribution footprint.

The position will be responsible for managing full-funnel media activation, including retail media / performance marketing, paid social, paid search and display activity on eCommerce platforms like Amazon, Chewy, and Walmart. The role blends strategic planning and monitoring & measuring progress with hands‑on campaign management, and is responsible for coordinating between agency partners, the brand teams, and the various ecommerce sales teams. The ideal candidate will also play a strong role in integrating consumer advertising insights back into our brand plans. The reporting manager for this role is based in Chicago, the primary counterpart/colleague is in Colorado, and the eCommerce center of excellence is in Michigan. Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute advertising plans to meet or exceed sales targets. Conduct ad-hoc analysis to develop recommendations with specific action plans to improve volume and share growth.

Manage and maintain paid search/display budgets, aligning spending plans with sales volume. Maximize return on investment including, but not limited to, pay per click, search engine marketing, and display advertising.

Develop, generate and present key performance indicators (KPIs) and key reports for business unit leadership, marketing and sales teams. Proactively assess and execute opportunities to improve data usage.

Lead and oversee paid social campaigns, in collaboration with media agencies, to maximize ROI and drive brand awareness.

Coordinate with agencies, sales team, and brand managers to align advertising plans with new item launches, promotional plans, and retail strategies to establish and execute global advertising schedules for optimum results.

Work in close collaboration and partnership with the eCommerce center of excellence, including PIM and analytics counterparts. Foster relationships with cross-functional partners such as brand marketing, sales, and finance.

Propose and execute A/B testing to maximize copy effectiveness and media reach. Regularly research and leverage SEO, both within retail media and on search platforms, becoming a digital category and competitive expert.

Demonstrate curiosity and learning agility by incorporating the newest technology, approaches, best practices, and case studies (because every team is learning to incorporate and implement AI tools!).

Qualifications

College Degree (BA/BS) required.

3+ years of relevant eCommerce/Digital Advertising Experience required.

5+ years of experience working in a consumer‑packaged goods (CPG), fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG), consumer durables industry, and/or Retail strongly preferred.

Extensive, prior experience with Meta Advertising Platform, Amazon Advertising and Amazon Marketing Cloud, Walmart Connect, and other digital marketing/media.

Demonstrated experience in the use of syndicated eCommerce data (e.g., Nielsen, Stackline, Numerator) and computer proficiency on all MS Office applications, including Excel.

Open to working in the Schaumburg office approximately once per month and traveling within the US approximately once per quarter, or as business needs require.

Position Information Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 per year (dependent on experience and location). Eligible for a management incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.
